Solid Image Photographic Service was established in 1974 in Washington, D.C.
by it's founder, Ronald Gilbert Baker.  Over 5 decades and 40 consecutive years, Solid Image Photographic Service has distinguished itself for excellence in photojournalism, quality service and quality products.

Ronald Gilbert Baker has published 4 books since 1994, "Solid Images..A Collection of Memories" (1994), co-authored "Washington, D.C. 1963 - 2006" with Tracey Gold Bennett (2006), "Monumental Treasures of Washington, D.C." (2012) and "One Day Assignment The Jacksons" (2012).

Ronald's work has been published in magazines and newspapers around the country including Washington Afro, The Informer, Jet Magazine, Ebony Magazine, Billboard Magazine, Cashbox Magazine, Washingtonian Magazine, Parade Magazine, Washington LIFE Magazine, Who's Who In Black Washington, D.C. Publication 2009-2013, and Studio Magazine among others.

Ronald and his work has appeared on the Cathy Hughes Show on WOL 1450, The Joe Madison Show on Sirrus Satellite Radio, BET's Video Soul's "In The Groove" segment, The Clio Exchange PBS TV, WUSA TV-9 Weekend Edition with Bruce Johnson, Keep It Moving Radio Show with Marsha Jews on WEAA 88.9FM, and Biz Talk with Josh Smith on CBS Radio.

Solid Image Photographic Service has photographed every President of the United States from President James Earl Carter in 1977 through President Barack H. Obama with the exception of President Ronald Reagan.  From Ike & Tina Turner to Marvin Gaye to Michael Jackson to Beyonce' and Jay Z, Solid Image Photographic Service has captured them all.
